Technohim LLC is a machine – building enterprise engaged in designing, manufacturing and putting into operation the prilling systems for nitrogen mineral fertilizers (ammonium nitrate AN, CAN, porous ammonia nitrate, urea).

About Us

For more than 25 years our company has been successfully developing and producing the vibrating prillers for the nitrogen fertilizers suitable for specific technological conditions and customer requirements all over the world. Technochim LLC was founded in 1993.

Our company is engaged in designing, manufacturing and putting into operation of the vibrating prillers as well as auxiliary equipment (filter–grinder, mixer-reactor, mobile lifting device) for prilling nitrogen mineral fertilizers (ammonium nitrate AN, CAN, porous ammonia nitrate, urea).

The philosophy of Techonochim LLC in designing the prilling equipment is its maximum adaptation to the conditions of the particular prilling tower. Due to design peculiarities of each priller, the process produces uniform distribution of dispersed flow of the uniform prills throughout cross section of the prilling tower.

Products

Depending on the type of the prilled product and on prilling tower conditions, we developed and put into operation several models of vibrating prillers as well as auxiliary equipment. We also developed the system of automatic vibrator control.

Vibrating Prillers

How Does It Work

The principle of the operation of the vibrating priller is based on the regular vibration applied to the jets flowing out of the holes of the prilling bucket.

This action enables the jets to disintegrate the substance into drops (prills) of the same size and to solidify into the prills of the same size. While falling in the stream of the cooling air the liquid drops become solidified and are subsequently unloaded from the bottom of the tower as the finished prills.

Typical prill size distribution obtained under the operation of the vibrating priller is shown on the graph (curve a). It can be seen that no less than 90% of prills have the same size, with no coarse prills and with the fraction of abnormal fine prills being below 1%. Curve a presents the prill size distribution for the prill diameter 2.1 mm. By using the vibrating prillers the same distribution can be obtained for the prill sizes ranging from 1.6 to 2.6 mm.

Production of prilled substances with the uniform prill size allows:

  • to completely minimize abnormal prills (small, large and irregularly shaped)
  • to optimize temperature operating mode of the prilling tower, which provides the decrease of the output prill temperature by 10—15 °C
  • to make the uniform prill spray across the maximum area of the prilling tower
  • to eliminate prill segregation while storing in the warehouse and loading in the carrier vehicle and boxing
  • to decrease caking of prills
  • to eliminate the recycling of the prilled product because of the large and fine fractions of the granulometric composition
  • to decrease prilling tower emission
